Had a great time with friends! The staff were super accommodating, and we loved the delicious dinner and handy location near the South Downs Way. We even managed to visit the beautiful East Meon village during our stay, which was definitely worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
One thing to note is that our arrival was a bit awkward since the place was locked up until 6 PM, making it feel a little eerie initially.

Cozy pub vibes and tasty food
Spent our anniversary here and it was so nice! The location is lovely and the staff are super friendly. The food in the pub downstairs was fantastic. They even brought fresh milk to our room! The downside was the room size and the strange smell we had to mention.

The room, a Superior Double, offered a spacious layout with charming décor, providing a nice retreat after a day of hiking. The presence of quality local ales in the bar area made for a relaxed evenings to unwind.
On arrival, the heating in the room had not been set, leaving it quite cold until it kicked in. the shower had inconsistent hot water, which was inconvenient. Plug sockets were limited near the TV, necessitating annoying unplugging to make tea, and while the pub's quaint interior was appealing, the room furnishings felt slightly dated and could use an upgrade.
